Sarah is a tech-savvy numbers nerd who thrives in the sunshine, stays active, and works on perfecting her baking skills. With a background as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and over a decade as an insurance auditor, she brings a rare mix of financial expertise and analytical wizardry to everything she does. When she’s not knee-deep in spreadsheets or geeking out over the latest tech, she’s experimenting in the kitchen or enjoying time with family and friends—because life’s too short for bad food or bad financial data.
ERIC HESS
Account Manager
Eric Hess brings over 12 years of experience in the accounting and bookkeeping industry, with a career spanning roles in management, client services, and entrepreneurship. As Team Lead and Senior Bookkeeper at BYB, Eric is known for his hands-on leadership style, strong attention to detail, and commitment to helping clients achieve clarity and confidence in their financials. He’s passionate about building efficient systems and supporting both his team and clients with reliable, solutions-focused service. Outside of work, Eric enjoys ranching, spending time with his wife, and cheering on his kids at their sporting events.
LIZ EVANS
Bookkeeper
Liz Evans brings a diverse professional background and a strong work ethic to her role as Bookkeeper at BYB. A graduate of Edinboro University, Liz has built her career through a variety of roles across different industries, including co-owning and operating a successful restaurant for three years. Her experience has shaped her into a detail-oriented and reliable team member with a passion for keeping things organized behind the scenes. At BYB, she ensures the numbers stay on track and supports the team with accuracy and care. Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, and loves to unwind with knitting and crocheting projects.
KATE BERNIER
Sr. Bookkeeper
Kate Bernier brings over a decade of accounting and bookkeeping experience to BYB. She began her career at a CPA firm shortly after college, where she gained a solid foundation in tax and audit work. After five years in public accounting, she transitioned into internal auditing, a role she has held for nearly six years, sharpening her eye for detail and process improvement. Kate joined BYB as a senior bookkeeper, later advancing to Account Manager before shifting back into bookkeeping to better balance her schedule, as her first baby is on the way. With her blend of audit expertise and hands-on bookkeeping skills, she provides clients with accuracy, organization, and dependable support. Outside of work, Kate is a creative spirit—she’s currently writing her first novel.
JESSA MARIE MACAPOBRE
Admin Assistant & Bookkeeper
Jessa Marie Macapobre brings a strong background in administration and client support, making her an integral part of the BYB team. With experience in managing schedules, organizing documents, and streamlining day-to-day operations, she ensures that tasks run smoothly and efficiently. As an Admin Assistant, Jessa takes pride in providing reliable support and helping the team stay focused on their goals. Known for her attention to detail and dedication, she plays a key role in keeping projects and processes on track. Outside of work, Jessa enjoys music and finds peace at the beach or in nature, cherishing moments with her husband and daughter. Together, they dream of traveling the world someday and going on memorable road trips to explore new places and adventures.

Tax Preparer/ Consultant
Katherine (Kate) Leiter is a tax and bookkeeping professional with extensive experience helping individuals and businesses stay financially organized and compliant. Over the years, she has worked across a wide range of industries, bringing both technical expertise and a client-centered approach to every engagement. As the founder of a fully remote practice, Kate specializes in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and leveraging tools like Excel to create efficient systems that save clients time and reduce stress. She is passionate about translating complex financial information into clear, practical guidance her clients can use to make confident decisions. Outside of work, Kate enjoys baking and knitting, often creating homemade gifts for friends and family.
